Dr. Kimberly Varnado is an Assistant Professor in the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at Midwestern University (MWU). She is a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the American Physical Therapy Association and a Fellow in the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Indiana University and completed the Kaiser Permanente Orthopedic Residency and Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship.
She is a Movement Links Certified Clinician (MLC) trained to systematically identify and manage both the source and contributing factors to musculoskeletal pain dysfunctions. Dr. Varnado has over 10 years of physical therapy experience and currently incorporates her training into her private practice Inquisicare, LLC.
Her clinical practice focuses on management of common musculoskeletal conditions observed in active professionals, chronic pain and complex case management, and ergonomics training. At MWU, her primary teaching areas are in the musculoskeletal curriculum, specially physical therapy evaluation and manual therapy.
In additionto her teaching and entrepreneurial activities, Dr. Varnado is a third-year student in the Doctor of Health Sciences Program at A.T. Still University and is scheduled to graduate March 2017. She is dedicated to lifelong learning, health promotion, increasing life expectancy rates, and improving the quality of life of her patients.
