I entered this profession to make a difference. Like most physical therapists, I wanted to help people move better, reduce pain, and live more active lives.

That passion led me somewhere I did not expect, onsite at large construction projects with OSSPT, where my role looks very different from a traditional clinic setting.

Instead of treating injuries after they happen, I focus on preventing them. Being in the field, I see how work is actually performed, catch risks early, and help workers move in ways that reduce strain on their bodies.

My work blends movement science, ergonomics, and practical problem solving. I spend time observing tasks, working alongside crews, and offering simple, real-world adjustments to lifting, positioning, and workflow. Those small changes add up and make a real difference in keeping people healthy and on the job.

No two days are the same. I might be leading stretch programs, completing ergonomic walkthroughs, or supporting teams with first aid and material handling strategies. The variety keeps the work interesting and pushes me to keep learning.

What stands out most is the level of impact. I am not limited to helping one person at a time. I have the opportunity to influence entire teams, sometimes hundreds of workers, through prevention, education, and better ways of working.

This is what makes OSSPT different. It is physical therapy that is proactive, hands on, and directly connected to the people we serve every day.

For PTs who know there is something more out there, this is a chance to do work that feels meaningful on a bigger scale.
